Blue Lizard Entertainment LLC.
Blue Lizard Entertainment LLC. is a company that intends to branch out into different areas of entertainment in gaming, activities for events, film, and more. I was tasked with creating a logo that symbolized entertainment and innovation, as well as including the company’s mascot, a lizard named Bluey.
The Process
Since I was tasked to include the lizard mascot, I began by sketching the lizard in ways that it could fit alongside symbols of entertainment and innovation. I combined the lizard’s body as well as pieces like footprints or eyes with symbols like lightbulbs.
I really liked the idea of the lizard curling around the letters to make the lightbulb shape. I experimented with different positioning of the legs and different fonts for the acronym of the business. Originally I wanted to handwrite the letters so that they would make up the filament and the bottom part of the bulb, however, it wasn’t very legible. Eventually, I decided to try stacking the letters inside the bulb as just the filament.
The final version of the design features the blue lizard, curling around the letters to make up the silhouette of the lightbulb. The colors changed to a lighter blue and a more orangey yellow to bring more energy to the brands color palette.
